Dust off those classic and Nordic skate skis.

The Blaine County Recreation District is offering free skiing on all its Nordic trails on Sunday, Jan. 6.

Skiing will be free on all the trails surrounding Galena Lodge, as well as the Harriman Trail, Prairie Creek Loop,  North Fork and Durrance loops and Lake Creek trails. The north and south Billy’s Bridge loops remain closed for the time being, awaiting new snow.

Skiing will also be free on the new Nordic loops at Quigley Nordic near Wood River High School in Hailey.

Prefer to snowshoe, instead?

You’re in luck, as all the snowshoe trails the BCRD stomps out will be free that day, as well.
