Wood River Valley residents are being asked to stay out of Croy Canyon as firefighters fight a wildfire that originated near Cielo Drive.

At least two fire engines, paramedics, Search and Rescue responders and law enforcement have responded. The road has been closed at Pioneer View Drive in case residents in the area need to make a hasty evacuation.

No structures have been involved so far in the fire that was reported shortly before 3 p.m., said Holly Carter, Blaine County Sheriff information officer.
